Integrated platforms

Datagate natively integrates with three e-commerce platforms:

  • Shopify
  • eMAG Marketplace
  • Magento 2

The integration works bidirectionally: Datagate takes orders from the platform and sends back inventory, prices, and documents.

Data Flow

What Datagate takes from the platform (download)

Orders — each order enters Datagate with all the details: ordered products, customer data, delivery and billing addresses, AWB if it has already been generated. From here, the order enters the standard operational flow — shipping, scanning, invoicing.

Return requests — when a customer requests a return on the platform, the request automatically arrives at Datagate for processing.

Listed products — the list of products published on the platform is synchronized in Datagate, allowing centralized management of the catalog.

What Datagate sends to the platform (upload)

Stocks — the updated stock is synchronized periodically or at the event, so the platform shows actual availability.

Pricing — price changes from Datagate are automatically propagated to the platform.

Invoices and AWB — after invoicing and AWB generation, the documents are sent to the platform, which makes them available to the end customer.

Trade policies and practices

The eCommerce integration supports several advanced operational scenarios:

Shipping from multiple locations (split) — an order can be partially shipped from different locations. If a warehouse has only a portion of the products, the rest are shipped from another location or store. The customer receives several parcels, but the order is managed unitarily.

Time-out sequential order — the shipping order is sent successively to multiple work points. The first point that confirms in the allotted time picks up the goods. If they don't confirm, the order automatically moves to the next one. The mechanism optimizes the delivery speed without manual intervention.

Stock buffer — a minimum stock is set up under which an item is no longer listed on the platform. If the physical stock is 3 pieces but the buffer is set to 5, the item appears as unavailable. Prevent uncovered selling and negative customer experiences.

Click and Collect — the customer orders online and picks up from the store. The order is routed to the chosen store, where it is ready for delivery. The store confirms availability, and the customer is notified when they can pick up.
