What is it

The Gift Card is a card that can be preloaded with a fixed amount or a free amount, which the customer buys as a gift for someone else (or for himself). It works as a payment method: the beneficiary presents the card at the checkout, and the value of the purchase is deducted from the balance.

Purchase and activation

Gift cards are sold at any cash register in the Cards section. When selling, the card is instantly activated with the amount chosen by the customer. Several predefined or free amount values are available, depending on your store configuration.

When selling a Gift Card, a receipt and the Invoice will be printed.

Use at home

The beneficiary presents the gift card at the checkout (physically or as a number/code). The seller scans it or enters the code in the Card section.

The seller has the possibility to check the transactions on the Gift Card handed by the customer so he can check if the card is already sold and used or not.

To use the Ghift Card in a sale, it is first returned by pressing Return Gift Card.

The invoicing data for the return will be automatically taken from the initial invoice. After the issuance of the document, the Invoice on minus and Payment Order will be printed.

Selling using your loyalty card

A regular hunt is done and when it comes to payment, the amount covered by the Gift Card is passed as cash.

If the purchase exceeds the balance of the card, the difference is paid with another payment method (cash, bank card). If the purchase is smaller, the customer must purchase one more product up to a value equal to or greater than the Gift Card.

Validity

Gift cards can have a configurable validity period.
