What it covers

The Merchandise Stock section offers the manager visibility on the movements of goods in the store: what came in (receptions), what went out (shipments, sales), what differences there are between the theoretical and the physical stock.

The stock in the store is automatically updated with each transaction: the sale decreases the stock, the reception increases it, the return brings it back. The manager can consult the current stock by item, category or location in the store at any time.

Stock movements

The main types of movements from the store's perspective:

  • Receipt — goods received from the warehouse or supplier
  • Shipping — goods sent to another store or returned to the warehouse
  • Sale — automatic deduction on each receipt
  • Return — automatic increase when processing the return

Each movement generates a traceable document — who processed it, when, what quantities, with what reference.
